Soft Shock (the acoustic version) by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs
“I am Woman” is a really good power-up song. I always listen to it if I have something scary coming up and I need to build confidence. “Soft Shock” was one of the first songs I listened to with my girlfriend, Katy Kondo. It’s also just a really pretty, soothing song that anybody could probably enjoy.
How to share it?
Somebody should play these on a boombox as they spread my ashes (or bury me at sea or whatever) in Monterey Bay.
Your “no-go” songs?
“Candle in the Wind” by Elton John, or anything religious.
